American Legion Auxiliary Travel Program

New Member Benefit

INDIANAPOLIS American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters is pleased to announce the addition of a new member benefit, American Legion Auxiliary Travel.

This new benefit includes the American Legion Auxiliary group travel and the American Legion Auxiliarys own full-featured travel booking Web site found at www.ALAtravels.com.  This site includes everything travel airfare, hotels, car rentals, all-inclusive tours, cruises and much more.

Prices and services are competitive with other online booking sites, with the biggest difference being that each time you join your fellow Auxiliary members on one of the group tours or use the Auxiliarys travel booking Web site to book your trip, a significant portion of the travel commissions will go to the American Legion Auxiliary.

Tamara Shumate, National Headquarters membership marketing coordinator said, We are excited to offer this benefit to our members. Its a fun way to travel with your friends and family, while helping to support the Auxiliary.

Right now, 85 percent of all travel is booked online, so there is no reason to be apprehensive or uncertain about using the Auxiliarys booking Web site. Ask a relative or friend to help you book your travel and see how easy it is by visiting www.ALAtravels.com

Power is in numbers. The more trips booked through the Auxiliarys site (www.ALAtravels.com), the more dollars raised to support the work of the Auxiliary without incurring new expenditures.  This could have a tremendous positive impact on the work of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Founded in 1919, the American Legion Auxiliary is the worlds largest patriotic womens service organization. With a membership over 850,000, local Auxiliary units have a strong presence in more than 9,500 communities nationwide. The Auxiliarys mission to serve veterans, their families and their communities is carried out through its hundreds of outreach programs delivered by its members, volunteers and National Headquarters.
